Biography
California native Elisa Richardson attended Whittier College on a vocal singing scholarship, before earning her MFA in Acting under the direction of William Esper from the East Coast's prestigious Rutgers The State University of New Jersey.
Currently based in Los Angeles, Elsa continues her career as an actor. Most recently, she has appeared in world premieres and revivals on regional stages including South Coast Repertory Theatre and Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, she stars in the Fox Searchlab's short film Delusion alongside Heather Tom which is currently playing on the festival circuit. She has also recurred on Guiding Light and Days of Our Lives.
Recently, Elisa has also been working as a voice over artist for animation. In addition to acting work, Elisa is a classically trained soprano and has studied music in London, Leipzig, New York and Los Angeles. She has performed at the Hollywood Bowl and Carnegie Hall.
Elisa also studied acting in London through the Marymount College London Drama Program. The program was in association with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. While abroad, she became certified in Armed and Unarmed combat by both the British Fight Society and American Fight Society.
When not acting, Elisa teaches acting, Elizabethan dance, voice, and stage combat while directing children's theatre all over Los Angeles. She has taught for the Center Theatre Group P.L.A.Y program, Inner City Arts, Inside-Out Community Arts, Upstage Theatre Schools, Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, and New Roads High School. Elisa also served on the Board of Directors for Inside-Out Community Arts.
In her free time, Elisa enjoys camping, hiking, surfing and running. She also enjoys working with her students in the Spectrum Program at New Roads High School.
